THEA’s 1st rehabilitation student, Wilnot, began the Rehabilitation Technician Training Program (RTTP) in June 2012. Wilnot completed secondary school 4 years ago. However, he has been unemployed without an opportunity to work- as is true for 80% of men in Haiti. Before entering the RTTP, Wilnot had been working with his local church and helping to care for children in a local children’s home.
Wilnot graduated from the RTTP and began working as a rehabilitation technician at the Hopital Bienfaisance de Pignon August 1, 2014. He is the only rehabilitation specialist in this area of Haiti. Wilnot provides rehabilitation services to adults and children in the hospital’s inpatient and outpatient clinics as well as within 2 community clinics.
